Have you ever heard of Taj Mahal or the Great Wall of China? Or perhaps you know something about Mount Everest or Mount Fuji. All of these amazing places are found in a country in Asia! In All about Asia, you will learn some really cool facts about this amazing continent. For instance, the first dinosaur eggs ever discovered were discovered in the Gobi Desert. In addition, both the highest and lowest points in the world are found in Asia.
Asia is an incredibly diverse continent in many ways. Because it is so big—it takes up about 30% of the earth's land!—it includes eight different climate types! It is also diverse in its cultures, religions, and plant and animal life. You will find panda bears in the alpine and mountain regions, but you will also find Asian elephants, polar bears, and Komodo dragons in other parts. Asia is home to the two most-populated countries in the world: China and India. In fact, there are 1.4 billion people living in China, and India is home to 1.3 billion people! Some really interesting landmarks in Asia include the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, the Dotonbori District, and The Great Buddha of Kamakura. There are so many more wonderful things to learn about this incredible continent!

Covering 30% of Earth's landmass and holding 60% of the world's population, it encompasses diverse landscapes from towering mountains to scorching deserts.
Excavation of dinosaur bones: Asia has become a rich source of dinosaur discoveries! Big digs in China and Mongolia uncover new species, like a recent titanosaur find in China. Southeast Asia is also getting attention, particularly Thailand where the first dinosaur bone was found in the 1970s. These finds are helping paleontologists understand the diversity of dinosaurs that once roamed Asia.
Umayya Mosque: The Umayyad Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus, is a landmark mosque in Syria with a rich history and significance. Built between 705 and 715 AD, it's one of the oldest and largest mosques globally, showcasing Umayyad architectural style that has influenced mosque design worldwide.
